CHAPTER 85.
An act authorising the Levy court of Washington county, to repair or
rebuild
the bridge over the Conococheague creek, at Williamsport. |
Passed Feb.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the
levy court of Washington county, be, and they are hereby authorised
and empowered to adopt such measures as to them may
seem most advisable for repairing or rebuilding the bridge over
the Conococheague creek at Williamsport, and the said levy
court are hereby authorised and empowered to levy on the assessable
property of the said county a sum or sums sufficient to
repair or rebuild the said bridge and to levy the same in two or
more equal portions commencing with the year eighteen hundred
and twenty six. |

CHAPTER 86.
An
act to provide for the payment of Jurors in Frederick county. |

18, 1826. |
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the levy court of Frederick county, be, and they are hereby
authorised and required to levy on the assessable property of
said county, at the usual time of making the county levy in the
year eighteen hundred and twenty six, such sum of money as the
said levy court may deem sufficient to defray the expenses
which have been or may be incurred by the attendance of jurymen
at Frederick county court during the years eighteen hundred
and twenty six and eighteen hundred and twenty seven. |

2. And be it enacted, That it shall
be the duty of the said levy
court to levy as aforesaid in the year eighteen hundred and
twenty seven, and annually thereafter such sum of money as
they may deem sufficient to pay the expenses which they may be annually
incurred by the attendance of jurymen at Frederick county
court. |

3. And be it enacted, That the sum
or sums of money directed
to be levied by this act, shall be collected by the collector of
Frederick county as other county charges are now collected,
and shall be accounted for by him, as hereinafter directed. |
