RESOLUTIONS.
No. 57.
Whereas, by a resolution passed at December session,
eighteen
hundred and eighteen, number forty one, Joseph Cresap, of Allegany
county was placed upon the pension list, as a further compensation
for his services as a lieutenant during the revolutionary
war, and by a resolution passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and twenty one, number sixty two, the said
resolution was rescinded in consequence of it being represented
that the said Joseph Cresap was at that time wealthy; and
whereas, from losses sustained by the said Joseph Cresap in
consequence of endorsing for others in the Cumberland bank
of Allegany, he is now greatly embarrassed, and has a large
family to support: Therefore,
Resolved, That the treasurer of the western
shore pay unto
Joseph Cresap of Allegany county, or his order, quarterly,
each and every year, a sum of money equal to the half pay of
a lieutenant, during his life, as a further compensation for his
services during the revolutionary war.

No. 68.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
John
Tilghman and Richard I. Jones, the securities of Mary E. C.
Nicholson, the administratrix of William H. Nicholson, be, and
they are hereby indulged on a judgment obtained by the state of
Maryland against them, in Queen Ann's county court, at October
term, 1818: Provided the said John Tilghman and Richard
I. Jones, pay one third of said judgment, on or before the first
day of May next, with interest on the whole sum and costs, and
one other third of said judgment, with interest on the remaining
sum, on the first day of May, 1827, and the remaining third on
the first day of May, 1828, with the interest and costs: And
provided further, that it shall be lawful for the state to issue an
execution or executions upon said judgment, in case the first
proviso is not complied with at any time within a year from the
time of such non compliance.

Conrad Coffroth, of Franklin county, in the state of Pennsylvania,
or to his order, during life, in quarterly annual payments,
the half pay of a fifer, as a further remuneration for his services
during the revolutionary war.
