            JOSEPH KENT, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

of being issued to three or five; And whereas, three of said persons,
namely; Robert Stevens, George Palmer and William
Thomas, qualified under said commission, and have returned
their proceedings to the said court, Therefore,

Confirmation.     Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the said proceedings of the said Robert Stevens, George Palmer
and William Thomas, under the said commission, shall be, and
the same are hereby declared to be as good and valid to every
intent and purpose, as if the said commission had been issued
to the proper number of persons.

                                            CHAPTER 193.

An act to authorise the trustees of the Lancaster and Grammar School of
    Liberty town in Frederick county, to sell and convey the school-house
    with the lot of ground attached thereto.

    Sale authorised.     Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the trustees of the Lancaster and Grammar School of Liberty
town, in Frederick county, be, and they are hereby authorised,
whenever in their judgment the interest of the stockholders and
creditors of said institution may require it, to sell, and by good
and sufficient deed to convey to the purchaser or purchasers
thereof; all the right and title of said stockholders, of, in, and
to any or all the real property owned as joint property by said
stockholders.

                                            CHAPTER 194.

A supplement to an act, entitled, a supplement to an act, entitled, an act
    incorporating into one, the several acts relating to constables fees, passed
    December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-one, chapter one hundred
    and sixty-two.

Fees allowed.     Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the constables' and bailiffs',
in and for the city of Baltimore, shall be entitled to receive
the fees set forth in the following table.
For serving warrant on claims not exceeding $10, and
    return,                                                                        $10 311/4
For serving warrant on claims exceeding $10, and not
    exceeding $50, and return,                                              0 371/9
For serving warrant on claims exceeding $50 and
    return,                                                                             0 50
For serving writ of replevin,                                                  0 371/4
For summoning and swearing each appraiser,                       0 20
In all cases of replevin, the constable to have a commission
    of five per centum, to be charged as costs
