1904.] OF THE SENATE. 67
Body to provide the State'Game Warden the power to
enforce the laws of the bay for the protection offish.,
COMMISSION TO REVTSE THE INCORPORATION LAWS OF,
THE STATE.
The aforesaid commission was authorized by chapter
446 of the Acts of 1902.
Three, eminent lawyers, Mr. George R. Willis and
Mr. Arthur George Brown of the Baltimore Bar, and
Hon. Sevenson A. Williams of Bel Air, at, any earnest
solicitation consented to serve as members of the said
commission.
They accordingly undertook the delicate and arduous
duty of revising and systematizing the Incorporation
Laws of Maryland, freely giving their personal services
to this work.
The Act creating the commission carried no appro-
priation whatever, so that the conimissioners in addi-
tion to donating their own time to the State have been
obliged to become responsible for the payment of a
reasonable amount for the services of a secretary,
stenographer's fees, printing and other necessary
items, which should be promptly and cheerfully paid
by your Honorable Body.
The distinguished gentlemen composing the com-
mission have practically completed their labors and
will no doubt make a report for the consideration of
your Honorable Body in good season.
THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE EXPOSITION.
The most stupendous exposition the world has ever
seen is now being organized at St. Louis in commem-
oration of the purchase of the territory of Louisiana
over one hundred years ago.
The wares, resources and advantages of almost every
State of the United States, and of almost every civi-
lized country on the globe will be displayed there to
the millions of people who will visit the exposition,
which is to open on the thirtieth of next April.
If Maryland is to keep her place among the pro-
gressive states of the Union we must not be lost sight
