Whereupon,
It appearing that no person had received a majority
of all the votes cast.
The Chairman declared that no person had been
elected by the Joint Assembly as Senator in the Con-
gress of the United States from this State for six
years, in succession to the Hon. Louis E. McComas,
whose term of office will expire March 4th, A. D. 1905.
Whereupon,
At 12.20 p. m.,
Senator Moore moved,
That this Joint Assembly do now adjourn until
Thursday, February 4th, A. D. 1904, at 12 in.
Whereupon,
At 12.25 p. m.
The Senators returned to the Seuate Chamber, and
resumed the business of the session.
