The Speaker of the House of Delegates, as Chair-
man of the Joint Assembly, announced the summary
of the vote cast by the members of the House of Dele

Hon. Elihu E. Jackson received 5 votes.
Hon. Louis E. McComas received 33 votes.
Hon. Bernard Carter received 11 votes.

It appearing that no person had received a majority
of all the votes cast.
