With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 104, line 4, strike out "four" and insert
"two."

In section 105, line 3, strike out "live" and insert
"three."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

ORDER OF THE DAY.

The hour of 8.30 having arrived, the Senate pro-
ceeded to the consideration of

House bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 284, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, of
1872, entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore,
Hampden and Lake Roland Railroad Company,

Which was read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays, as follows:

Bennett, Moss,
Brown, Robinson,
Coffin, Rogers,
Dawson, Seibert,
Evans, Smith,
Getty, Waters,

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
Also, the following Order of the Day, for 8.30 P. M.
Senate Joint Resolutions to prevent all persons
from using the property of the Chesapeake and Ohio
Canal Company,
And

Senate Joint Resolution to prevent the extension
of the charter of the Washington and Western Mary-
land Railroad company, except upon certain conditions.
