1890. amending the charter of the Chesapeake Bank,
and enlarging its corporate powers and franchises,

and changing its name to the Chesapeake Bank and
Trust Company,

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by striking out all of "section 18."

"Of law," in section 1, of bill.

Amend by changing figures "19" to "18," "20" to
19," and "21" to "20," section 1, of the bill.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Hayes, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably, the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor
to appoint four additional Notaries Public for Balti-
more city.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to levy special assess-
ments upon property binding on any street, lane or
alley, and which may have been graded, paved or
curbed.

Which were read the second time.

Mr. Moss, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the An-
napolis, Eastport and Bay Ridge Electric Railway
and Power Company of Anne Arundel county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Coffin, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
section 28, of Article 56, of the Code of Public Gen-

eral Laws, title "License," sub-title "Hawkers and
Peddlars," so far as the same applies to Prince

George's county.

Which was read the second time.
