Said resolution was then sent to the House of Dele-
gates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Noah C. Sterling for the loss of the
schooner Martha E.

Which .was read the first time, and referred to .the
Committee on Finance.

Also, returned, the following bills :
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 51, of
Article 6, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Caroline County,"sub-title''County Commissioners,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to add
four new sections thereto, to be caller section 51 A,
section 51 B, section 51 C and section 51 D.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council to appropriate a sum of money for
the purchase of a site and the erection thereon of a
statue of the late Johns Hopkins.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Baltimore Traction Company.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 607, of
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Justice of
the Peace and Constables."

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Central Railway Company.
