District, to be known as 'Taylor's Island Precinct/
and that it shall consist of all that part of said Par-
son's Creek District lying to the westward of a line
beginning at the headwaters of Parson's Creek and
running with Stewart's Canal to its intersection with
the headwaters of Blackwater River, and thence with
said river to the Big Black Water Bridge, and the
voting place of said Taylor's Island Precinct shall be
at Taylor's Island.

"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester county are hereby authorized.
and directed to do all things and to make all necessary
arrangements to carry out the provisions of this Act."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

Mr. Wootton, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably, the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 16, of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Montgomery
County," sub-title "Roads."

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Com-
missioners of Montgomery county to subscribe to the
capital stock of Turnpike Companies in said county.

Which were read the second time.

Mr. Posey, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to empower the County
Commissioners of Charles county to levy a sum of
money for the building of a school house for white
children in Harris Lot Section, Fifth Election District
of Charles comity.

With the following proposed amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In line 1 of the title, after the word "county," add
the words in their discretion."

In line 3. of section 1, alter the word "directed,"
insert the words "in their discretion." .

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.
