divers charitable and religious institutions, contained
in the last will and testament of Edward Power, late
of Baltimore county, deceased, and to prevent any
failure of the testamentary purposes of the said
Edward Power by reason of uncertainty or misde-
scription as to any of the said beneficiaries.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 120, of
Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Collateral Inheri-
tance Tax," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 45, of
Article 9, of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled "Claimants of Property," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Which were read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled an Act to sanction the bequest
contained in the last will and testament of Savilla
Bankert, late of Carroll county, Maryland, deceased,
to the Trustees of Saint Mathew's Congregation of
Pleasant Valley, Carroll county, Maryland.

Which was read the second time.

And, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 233, of
Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws, titles
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Rape," and
chapter 410, of the Acts of Assembly of 1890, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PKOPOSED.

Amend section 233, in the second line thereof, by
inserting after the word "or," and before the words
"any woman," the additional words "knowingly,
carnally, know and abuse."

Which was adopted.

Said bill was then read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays, as follows, with proposed amendments..
