Proceedings of yesterday's session read and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.

The President presented the memorial of Charles B.
Flowers, Jas. A. Matthews, D. B. Case, F. T. Tagg,.
and 50 other citizens of Talbot county, in favor of local
option and against license.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

The President presented the memorial of a commis-
sion appointed by the Spanish Government on the
commemoration of the Fourth Centennial of the Dis-
covery of America.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Mr. Brown presented the memorial of Gus, Porter,
E, B. Walls, James Brown, W. P. Finly and 38 other
