TUESDAY, March 15th, 1892.
Senate met at 12 M.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Andrew.
Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Austin, Bennett, Brown, Coffin,
Evans, Getty, Gorter, Hayes, Hepbron, Hubner,
Moss, Pearre, Posey, Robinson, Rogers, Seibert,
Smith, Toadvin, Waters, Wilkinson, Wirt, Wootton
—23.

Proceedings of yesterday's session read and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS. MEMORIALS, &c.

Mr. Hepbron presented the memorial of Andrew
Woodall, Stephen Boyer, T. J. Shalcross, George W.
Harper, and 150 other citizens of Kent county, praying
the passage of an Act authorizing the Commissioners
to appropriate a sum of money annually to keep Ches-
tertown bridge in repair.

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Hepbron,
Brown and Wirt.

The President presented the memorial of the State
Temperance Alliance, praying the passage of a general
local option law for the State.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Waters presented the memorial of 143 citizens
of St. Peter's District of Somerset county, against
changing the time for tonging in Manokin river.

Which was read, and referred to Messrs. Waters,
Toadvin and Smith.

ORDERS.

On motion by Mr. Wooten it was

Ordered, That Senators Dawson and Newman be
excused from attendance on to-day's session of the
Senate.
