Add a new section to be known as section 10, and
to read as follows:

"Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. "
Which were adopted.
Mr. Hepbron submitted the following proposed

amendment:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend section 1 by adding in last line "nor Kent
county. "

Which was rejected by yeas and nays, as follows:

Gorter, Pearre,
Hayes, Toadvin,
Hepbron, Wilkinson—8.

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. President, Hubner,
Austin, Posey,
Brown, Waters.
Coffin, Wirt,
Evans, Wootton—10.

Said bill as amended was read the second time.

Mr. Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay E. P. Duvall monies spent for boxes,
expressage, storage and shipping Poe's Code.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Also favorably,

Ordered, by the Senate that the Public Printer
print in usual form 500 copies of the Assessment bill
heretofore offered in the Senate, and for printing said
bills he shall be paid the usual schedule price as pre-
scribed in the Code, the same to be ascertained by the
Finance Committee, and that the price paid for the
same shall not exceed $70,

Which was read and adopted.
