PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.

Mr. Waters presented the memorial of 370 citizens
of Somerset county engaged in catching oysters, pray-
ing against shortening the time for catching oysters,
and for an amendment to the culling law so as to
make the receiver of unculled oysters punishable for
having same in his possession.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

ORDERS.

Mr. Evans submitted the following:

Ordered by the Senate, That the Public Printer
print in usual form 600 copies of the assessment bill
heretofore offered in the Senate, and that for printing
said bills he shall be paid the usual schedule price as
prescribed in the Code, the same to be ascertained by
the Finance Committee, and that the price paid for
the same shall not exceed $70. 00.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the first and
third sections of the Acts of incorporation of the Hills-
borough Methodist Episcopal Church South and to
re-enact the first section with amendments.
