House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 274 to
297, inclusive, of Article 4, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore, " sub-title
"Primary Elections. "

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
with amendments new section 137, of Article 33, of
the Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Elections, " as enacted by the Acts of 1890,
chapter 538.

Which were severally read the second time.

Which was considered, and
On motion of Mr. Smith,

Said bill was ordered to lie over, and be made the
order of the day for Tuesday, March 15th, at 1 P. M.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments new section 181, of Article 33, olf
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Elections, "
as enacted by the Act of 1890, chapter 588.

Which was considered.

Mr. Moss submitted the following proposed amend-
ment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED,

In section 131, line 14, page 2, after the word "Dis-
trict, " insert the following: "And not less than 400
when the nomination is for an office to be filled by
the voters of an entire county.

Which was rejected.

Saul bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Smith, from the Committee on Elections, in the
contested election case of Talbot vs. Bird, from Cal-
vert county.
