Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-night
it adjourns to meet at 11 A. M., to-morrow.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS,
By Mr. Wirt, the following bills:
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
with amendments, section 6, of Article 65, of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Militia. "
Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Militia.
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-section,
class one, of section 14, of Article 23, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Corporations, " also
sub section 3 of section 42 of the same Article, also
section 47 of the same Article, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 18th, 1892,
Gentlemen of the Senate:
Inasmuch as Tuesday, January 19th, 1892, will be
the second Tuesday after the meeting and organiza-
tion of this Legislature at its January session 1892,
we propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, that the Senate and House of Delegates shall,
respectively, proceed openly, at the hour of 12 o'clock,
Meridian, on said January 19th, 1892, in their respec-
tive Chambers, in the manner provided by title 2,
chapter 1, of the Revised Statutes of the United
States, by the viva voce vote of each member present
in said Senate and House of Delegates respectively,
to name one person as Senator in Congress from this
State for the term of six years from March 4th, 1893,
in succession to Hon. Arthur P. Gorman, whose term
will then expire, and that the members of the Senate
and the members of the House of Delegates shall, as
12 o'clock, Meridian, on Wednesday, January 20th,
