Senate met at 12 M.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Andrew.
Present at roll-call the following Senators:
Messrs. President, Austin, Brown, Dawson, Evans,
Getty, Gorter, Hayes, Hepbron, Moss, Newman,
Pearre, Robinson, Rogers, Seibert, Smith, Talbott,
Toadvin, Waters, Wilkinson, Wirt, Wootton. —22.
Proceedings of yesterday's session read and approved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.

Mr. Newman presented the memorial of H. Clay
Stauffer, Chas, W. Goldsborough, J. L. Nichodemus
and 137 other citizens of Walkersville, Frederick
county, praying the passage of an Act prohibiting
the sale of intoxicating liquors within two miles of
the railroad station in said town.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Wirt presented the memorial of the Maryland
Society of the Sons of the Revolution.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance.
