amend section 149, of Article 4, of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "City of Baltimore, " sub-title
"Coroners' Inquests and Dead Bodies. "

The Senate adjourned.

Senate met at 12 M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Steele.

Present at roll-call the following Senators;

Messrs. President, Austin, Brown, Dawson, Evans,
Getty, Gorter, Hayes, Hepbron, Hubnes, Moss, New-
man, Pearre, Robinson, Rogers, Seibert, Smith,
Waters, Wilkinson, Wirt, Wootton—21.

Proceedings of yesterday's session read and ap-
proved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS, &c.
Mr. Hayes presented the memorial of the Historical
Department of the Johns Hopkins University.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Mr. Smith submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

February 19th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honor-
able Body, that inasmuch as Monday next is the
anniversary of the birthday of Washington, and a
legal holiday, that when the two Houses adjourn
to-day, they stand adjourned until Tuesday next, at
8 o'clock, P M,
