Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the following new
section, to be designated one hundred and eighty-five
B, be and the same is hereby added to said Article
ten, to wit:

See. 185 B. It shall be unlawful for any person, ex-
cept a bona fide resident of Bucktown and Draw-
bridge Districts, in Dorchester county, to use any
patent twine weir or other twine weir, pound-net,
fike stick weir, or hauling seine for the purpose of
taking or catching fish in Transquakin River or its
tributaries, except in that part of said Transquaking
River and its Tributaries which runs and flows be-
yond and outside of the said Bucktown and Draw-
bridge Districts; it shall also be unlawful for the
bona fide residents of Bucktown and Drawbridge Dis-
tricts to obstruct and occupy with their patent twine
weirs or other twine weir, pound-nets, fykes or stick
weirs, more than one-half of the width (at any point
they may select) of said Transquakin River and its
tributaries, so that the fish may not be entirely pre-
vented from passing up and down said river and its
tributaries; and no patent twine weirs or other twine
weirs, pound-nets, fykes, stick weirs or hauling seines
shall be set, less than one hundred and fifty yards
apart, one from the other; any person who shall vio-
late any provisions of this section shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof before
any Justice of the Peace of said county, such offender
shall be fined not less than five dollars, nor more than
fifty dollars, one-half to go the informer, and the other
half to the commissioners of the county, for the bet-
terment of the county roads

Sec, 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second
time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
