With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In line 1 of the title, strike out the word "three"
and insert in lieu thereof the word "two. "

In line 3 of the title, between the letter "A" and
the word "section, " insert the word "and. "

In line 4 of the title, strike out the first five words,
viz: "and Section Eighty-four C. "

In line 1 of section 1, strike out the word "three"
and insert in lieu thereof the word "two. "

In line 2 of section 1, insert between the work "A"
and the word "eight, " the word "and, " and in the
same line strike out after the word "B" the four
words following, viz: "and eighty-four C. "

In line 4 of section 1, insert after the word "Pun-
ishment, " the words "sub-title False Pretenses. "

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second
time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Gorter, from the Committee on Militia, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 6, of Article 65, of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Militia, "

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 1 strike out the word "twenty, " in line
9, and insert in lieu thereof the word "fifteen. "

Also, insert the words "to appoint" after the word
"necessary, " inline 9 of section 1. In section 1, line 12,
strike out after the words "master general, " the words"a commissary general, " "a chief engineer, " and
after the word "ordnance, " in the same line, the word
"A, " and in line 13 strike out the words "chief of
artillery, a chief of cavalry. " Also strike out in the
same all after the word "General, " and in line 14,
strike out the first word therein, viz: the word "Gen-
eral, "
