Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 343, of
the Acts of 1890, Article 27, Code of Public General
Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments," sub title
''House of Refuge."

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 59 and 60, of Article 77, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Public Edu-
cation." sub-title "Text Books."

Senate bill entitled an Act providing that corpo-
rations shall not be dissolved, by decree until all taxes
are paid.

Senate bill entitled an Act to change the Legislative
District lines of the Second and Third Legislative Dis-
tricts of Baltimore city.

Seriate bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub title "Railroad Ob-
structing."

Severally endorsed : "Passed by yeas and nays,"

Also, returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act to grant additional cor-
porate powers to the Cumberland, Loan and Saving
Association.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays, with pro-
posed amendments."

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the words "a bill," and insert
the following in lieu thereof:

"Entitled an Act to grant additional powers to the
Cumberland Loan and Saving Association.

"Section 1. Beitenacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in case the Board of Directors of the
Cumberland Loan and Saving Association, a corpora-
tion duly organized and incorporated under the gen-
eral incorporation law of this State, shall be in doubt
whether the mortgage security taken from or offered
by any member for the redemption of shares held by
such member, is an ample and sufficient security for
said purpose, such association shall have power to re-
ceive and take from such member a bond of indemnity
