NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
House bill entitled an Ace to provide for the mode
of acquisition of property by the Baltimore Forward-
ing and Railroad Company, and to authorize said
company to connect its tracks with other railroad
companies, and grant additional powers.

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays, as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Austin, Moss,
Bennett, Pearre,
Brown, Robinson,
Dawson, Rogers,
Evans, Seibert,
Getty, Wirt—15.
Gorter,

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned .to the House of Delegates,
House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town
of Preston, in Caroline county.
Which was considered.

Mr. Austin submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend section 5, in line 5, by inserting after the
word "State," and before the word "except," the
words following, to wit: "As they .existed prior to
the adoption of the Australian Ballot,"

Which was adopted.

Said bill was then read the third time, and passed
by yeas and nays, as follows, with proposed amend-
