In section 2, line 4, strike out the figure "8" and
insert in lieu thereof the figure "1."

In section 2, line 4, strike out the word 'students"
and insert in lieu thereof the word "student."

In section 3, line 1, strike ont the word "students"
and insert in lieu thereof the word "student."

Strike out all of "section 5."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

House bill entitled an Act making appropriations
for the support of State Government for the fiscal
year 1893, "

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Tn section 1, at the end of the subdivision entitled
"Miscellaneous," on page 8 of manuscript copy of
bill, add the following words: "To the order of the
chairman of the Joint Committee of the Senate and
House of Delegates to visit Virginia and meet a similar
committee of the Legislature of Virginia in reference
to the matter of catching oysters, crabs and fish in
the waters of Potomac or Pocomoke Rivers, and to
confer on the question of the boundary line on the
southern side of the Potomac, five hundred dollars or
so much thereof as is necessary, and the said chairman
shall report to the next General Assembly the amount
expended and the vouchers."

In section 1, line 17, strike out the word? "twenty-
five" and insert in lieu thereof the word "twenty."

In section 1, in second line of subdivision "Militia,"
between the words "forty" and "thousand," insert the
word "five."

Which were adopted.

reading to said bill by yeas and nays, as follows:
