vide for the general valuation and assessment of
property in this State after a full and free con-
ference, would respectfully report that they have
reached the following agreement, which said Confer-
ence Committee recommends that both the Senate and
House of Delegates adopt.

First. That the House of Delegates recede from its
refusal to concur in the Senate amendment to said
House bill, and that both the Senate and House of
Delegates pass said House bill amended by the Senate
amendment, with the following amendments to the
sections herein named of said Senate amendment:

Section 2, line 68, insert after the word "Act" the
following words: "And the previsions of section 155
of this Article, in so far as the same are in conflict with
the preceding provisions of this section, relating to
tunnels, are hereby expressly repealed."

Section 141, line 81, insert after the word "therein"
the following words : "As well as to the above enum-
erated corporations incorporated by and under the
laws of any other State, Territory, District or foreign
country doing business in this State."
Section 141, line 78, strike out the word "five" and in-
sert in lieu thereof the word "three," and in same line,
after the word "Article," insert the following words :
"Except so far as any of said sections may be modified
or repealed by this Act."

Section 146, line 35, insert after the word "year"
the following words : "Al! the provisions and require-
ments of this section shall be in force and apply to all
corporations of a like kind to those above enumerated
which are doing business in this State, and which are
incorporated by and under the laws of any other State,
District, Territory or foreign country."

Section 4, strike out all the words after the word
"Article," in line 60, to the words "electric light,"
inclusive, in line 67, and in lines 67 and 68 strike out
the words "and public local or special laws."

Section 178, line 12, strike out the word "three"
and insert in lieu thereof the word "six."

Section 178, line 13, insert before the word "year"
the word "fourth."
