1074 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 30,

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 100, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Work," pro-
Tiding for weekly payment of wagess.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Agriculture and Labor.

House bill entitled an Act authorizing the County
Commissioners of Worcester and Wicomico counties
to have the Pocomoke river surveyed, and to levy a
sum of money to defray the expenses therefor.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Smith, Toadvin and Waters.

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the acquisi-
tion of property by the Baltimore Forwarding and
Railroad Company, and to authorize said company to
connect its tracks with those of other railroad com-
panies and to grant it additional powers as a railroad
company.

House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 23, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Corporations,"
sub title "Religious Corporations," by adding four
additional sections thereto to follow section 217, to be
known as sections 217 A, 217 B, 217 C and 217 D, so
as to provide for the incorporation of congregations
of the Roman Catholic Church in conformity with the
peculiar discipline, and practice of said church.

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 191,
192, 194 and 199, of Article 2, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title
"Roads."

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Moss, Seibert and Rogers.

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing of
any license for the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer at or within one-half mile of
Narrow's Park, in Allegany county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs.
Pearre, Brown and Hubner.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Washington county to subscribe
