CHAPTER 70.

|
AN ACT to define and preserve the Inner Harbor
|
|
|
|
|
of Cambridge and Cambridge Creek in Dorchester,
|
|
|
|
|
county.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That in order to preserve the navi-
|
|
|
|
|
gation of Cambridge creek, in Dorchester county,
|
|
|
|
|
and secure from encroachment a commodious harbor
|
|
|
|
|
at the town of Cambridge, Thomas H. Handy, Wil-
|
|
|
|
|
liam J. Thomas and James L. Bryan be and they
|

are hereby appointed commissioners to survey the
|

said creek, from its mouth up to the several heads of

its respective branches, or as far as they may think

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commis-

sioners, and each of them before acting as such, shall

take and subscribe an oath of offi.ce before [before]
