CHAPTER 497.

AN ACT to authorize the refunding to the Mer-

|
chants' and Traders' Banking Association of
|
 
|
Baltimore city of the sum of ninety-two dollars
|
 
|
and seventy-two cents, taxes paid the State in
|
 
|
error.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
|
 
|
hereby authorized and directed to issue his war-
|

president of the Merchants' and Traders' Banking
Association of Baltimore city, the sum of ninety-

two dollars and seventy-two cents, taxes paid in

error to the State by said association.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|
 
|

CHAPTER 498.
|
 
|
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
|
 
|
of Cecil county to refund to or credit Philip S.
|
 
|
P. Conner and Edward E. Conner with certain
|
 
|
taxes paid by them on account of an erroneous
|
 
|
assessment of their property in said county.
|
 
|
Whereas, in the year eighteen hundred and
|
 
|
seventy, Philip S. P. Conner and Edward E. Con-
|
 
|
ner, erected an additional building on their farm
|

in Cecil county, for which the tax collector re-
|
 
|
turned to the County Commissioners of said county
an additional sum of five hundred dollars to be
|
 
|
added to the valuation as then assessed on said
|
 
|
land; and
