for each day of actual manual labor of the super-

 

visor on the roads or in repairing said bridges he

 

shall receive for compensation one dollar per day,

 

not to exceed ten days in a year.

 

SEC. 163. All bridges properly built or repaired,

 

broken down by timber carts or wagons heavily

 

loaded, and carts, shall immediately be substantially

such bridges they shall be responsible to any indi-

 

vidual for all damages caused him by reason of the

SEC. 164. Whenever the supervisor shall find it

 

necessary to open a water course through private

can agree upon the value and price to be paid for

 

the same, then such consent or agreement shall be

ter course is necessary to drain said road, they shall

 

authorize the supervisor to summon a jury of twelve

said land through which it shall pass, and as soon as

 

the money for such drainage is tendered to the owner

SEC. 165. Any supervisor failing in the perform-

 

ance of any of these duties prescribed in the pre-

 

ceding sections of this article, or who shall in any

 

other way or manner fail or neglect to perform the

 

duties of supervisor, shall be deemed guilty of a ,
misdemeanor, and any person damaged or delayed
