CHAPTER 441.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners

of Charles county to inquire into, and if found

correct, to pay to Samuel Queen money erro-

neously paid by him as taxes.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly,

That the County Commissioners of Charles county

are hereby authorized to inquire into the claim of

neously paid.

Samuel Queen, of said county, for money errone-
ously paid by him as taxes upon a boat Avhich had
been destroyed, and if they [find] said claim to be

correct, they may levy upon the assessable prop-

erty of Charles county a sum sufficient to pay the

same.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 442.

AN ACT to give additional corporate powers to

the House of the Good Shepherd of the city of

Baltimore, and to provide for the commitment

thereto of dissolute and disorderly females for

the purpose of reformation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the House of the Good Shep-

herd of the city of Baltimore, a body corporate,

incorporated under the General Laws of this State
