CHAPTER 271.

AN ACT to incorporate the Cecil Detective Asso-
|
 
|
ciation.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted oy the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That John Underwood, H. H. Duyck-
|
 
|
inck, A. R. Magraw, Samuel Gifford, Levi R. Mearns,
Job H. Kirk and Hugh M. Cameron, and all and every
|
Corporation.

person or persons who with them or in their stead
|
 
|
shall hereafter become associated with them, their
|
 
|
successors and assigns, shall be and are hereby cre-
|
 
|
ated and declared to be a body corporate and politic
|
 
|
by the name and style Of the Cecil Detective Asso-
|
 
|
ciation, and by that name shall and may have per-
|
 
|
petual succession, and be capable in law of pur-
|
 
|
chasing, holding improving and disposing of such
|
 
|
property, real, personal and mixed, as may be neces-
|
 
|
sary for the purposes herein authorized, and may sue
|
 
|
and be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and de-
|

fend in all courts of law and equity, and may make,

ex'cute deeds,

execute and deliver, and have or cause to be made,
|
&c.

executed and delivered to them, all deeds, transfers,
|
 
|
grants, covenants, contracts, agreements and bar-
|
 
|
gains whatsoever necessary for the purpose and ob-
|
 
|
jects of said association, and may use and have a
|
 
|
common seal, and generally do every other act or
|
 
|
thing necessary to carry into effect the object and
|
 
|
provisions of this act not inconsistent with the laws
|
 
|
of this State or of the United States, and to ordain
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects of said
