CHAPTER 157.

AN ACT to repeal the act of January session,
|
|
|
|
eighteen hundred and seventy-six, chapter one
|
|
|
|
hundred and seventy-three, entitled " An act regu-
|
|
|
|
lating the working and proper ventilation of coal
|
|
|
|
mines in Alleghany and Garrett counties, and pro-
|
|
|
|
viding for the appointment of an inspector for said
|
|
|
|
mines, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the act of January session,
|
|
|
|
eighteen hundred and seventy-six, entitled an act
|
|
|
|
regulating the working and proper ventilation of
coal mines in Alleghany and Garrett counties, and
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
|
|
providing for the appointment of an inspector for
|
|
|
|
said mines, be and the same is hereby repealed and
|
|
|
|
re-enacted, so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor
|
|
|
|
shall, by and with the advice and consent of the
|

Senate, appoint one mine inspector for the counties
of Alleghany and Garrett, who shall hold his office
|

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That no person shall

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That before entering

upon and discharging the duties of his office, said

partial manner ; and for the faithful performance of

his duties the said mine inspector shall receive a
