Sappington, of Anne Arundel, Ireland, Lane, Car-
rico, Orrick, Cole, Elliott, Hamilton, Jr., Collins,
Wooters, Leonard, Anderson, Sterling, Meredith,
Smith, of Dorchester, Miles, Kirk, Beeks, Grove, of
Cecil, Hill, Bryan, Wallen, Franklin, Wilkinson,
Hayman, McSherry, Gaver, Grove, of Frederick,
Sappington, of Frederick, Bevard, Hayward, Stearns,
Johnson, Smith, of Washington, Fockler, Shafer,

NEGATIVE.—Messrs. Green, Thompson, Fuld, Walz,
Fitzgerald, Brennan, Fox, Carter, Bowie, of Baltimore
city, O'Conor, Sams, Sanders, Frincke, Carr, Cornth-
waite—16.
The proposed amendment, as amended, was then
adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Also, the following Unfinished Business, being the
following order heretofore referred to the Committee
on Printing, viz:
Ordered, That the State Printer be and is hereby
authorized and directed to print and bind, for the use
of the State, 10,000 copies of the report prepared by
the Commissioner of the Land Office, on Maryland Re-
sources, in accordance with section 1, of Article 89, of
the Code of Public General Laws,
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the word "ordered," and insert
the following: "That the State Printer be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to print and bind, for
the use of the State, 10,000 copies of a report prepared
by the Commissioner of the Land Office of Mary-
land's Resources, and the cost of the same to be
$1,600,, or so much thereof as may be necessary; and
it is further ordered, that the State Printer be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to furnish each
