Whereupon,
It appeared that no person had received a majority
of all the votes cast.
The Chairman declared that no person had been
elected by the Joint Assembly as Senator from Mary-
land to the Congress of the United States in succes-
sion to the Hon. Ephraim K. Wilson, a Senator in the
Congress of the United States from this State, who
died during the recess of the Legislature of this State,
for the term ending March 4th, 1897.
On motion of Senator Hayes,
The Joint Assembly adjourned.
