chapter 355, of the Code of Public Local Laws, Session
of 1890, and re-enact the same with amendments.
Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays, with proposed amendments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 165, after the word "Board," 4th line,strike
out "to assess annually before each annual levy of
taxes," and insert "to assess in the year 1892 and
bi-ennially thereafter."
After the word "amendment," at the end of section
166, add as follows: "on or before the second
Monday in June, in the year in which no general
assessment shall be made, the Treasurer shall report
to the President of the Board of Commissioners all
transfers of property, sub-divisions and improvements
made within the previous year, so far as the same may
have come to his knowledge, giving the estimated
value of each of such improvements; and the Presi-
dent of the Board of Commissioners shall give public
notice of the making of such report, and of the time
and place where the board will consider the same, by
posting notice thereof in three conspicuous places in
said town, at least fifteen days before such consideia-
tion; that at such sitting of the board, the board
shall exercise the same powers over the assessment
roll and over the Treasurer's report as is hereinbefore
provided for the year 1892, and shall have the same
power as to the levying of taxes and execution of
warrants therefor as hereinbefore given."
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then passed by yeas and
nays, as follows:
