to aid the Delaware and Chesapeake Railway in the
construction of the Branch Railroad authorized by
chapter 260, of the Acts of 1886, by issuing bonds of
the county to the amount of $60,000, for the purpose
of raising money to be expended in such construction,
and to levy a tax on the taxable property of said
county for the payment of the interest and principal
of said bonds, as authorized by chapter 390, of the
Acts of 1890.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Caroline County Delegation and Mr. Smith, of Dor-
chester county.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to Wellington
Heather, late Collector of Taxes for Caroline county,
sums of money erroneously paid by him.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
with amendments, section 6, of Article 65, of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Militia."
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Militia.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 66, of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, by
adding thereto an additional section, to be numbered
and designated as "Section 24."
Endorsed : "Read a third time, and passed by yeas
and nays."
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of Messrs. Thomas & Evans,
printers and publishers of Baltimore city, for printing
the School Report.
Endorsed: "Read a third time, and passed by yeas
and nays."
On motion of Mr. Grove, of Frederick,
The House, at 10.15, adjourned.
