1418 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Apl. 1,
Thirteenth Election District of Baltimore county, for
the purpose of macadamizing the county roads of said
district, if fifty or more taxable residents of said dis-
trict shall petition therefor.
Also,
House Joint Resolution requesting the Senators and
Representatives in Congress from the State of Mary-
land to use all proper endeavors to have the authori-
ties of the United States deed and convey to the State
of Maryland the Marine Hospital Building located on
the Government Farm, adjoining the Naval Academy
Grounds, at Annapolis.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Mayor and Common Council of Westminster to
purchase water works for said city.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to permit the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county, to lay out and
open public roads in the Thirteenth Election District
of Baltimore county, within two miles of Baltimore
city.
Severally endorsed: "Read the third time, and
passed by yeas and nays."
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 9, 10
and 12, of Article 13, of the Code of Public General
Laws of this State, title "Bills of Exchange and
Promissory Notes."
Endorsed: "Considered; amended; read the third
time, and passed by yeas and nays, with amendments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the words "A bill entitled" and
insert in lieu thereof the following :
"An Act to add a new section to Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'City of Baltimore,'
under the new sub-title 'Bills of Exchange and Prom-
issory Notes,' to come in said Article alphabetically
in proper place and to be designated as "Section ——.'
"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a new section be and the same is
