valuation and assessment of property in this State.
Endorsed: "Report of Conference read ; rules sus-
pended ; vote by which bill passed reconsidered;
rules suspended; vote by which amendments were
adopted reconsidered ; report of Conference Committee
adopted; amendments adopted, as amended by the
Conference report, and bill passed by yeas and nays."
REPORT OF JOINT CONFERENCE COMMITTEE.
Mr. Berret, chairman on the part of the House on
the disagreeing votes of the two Houses on House bill
entitled an Act to provide for the general valuation
and assessment of property in this State, submitted
the following
REPORT:
To the Honorable the Senate and
House of Delegates of Maryland:
The undersigned, the Committee of Conference ap-
pointed by the Senate and House of Delegates on the
disagreeing votes of the two Houses upon the Senate
amendment to the House bill entitled an Act to pro-
vide for the general valuation and assessment of
property in this State, after a full and free con-
ference, would respectfully report that they have
reached the following agreement, which said Confer-
ence Committee recommends that both the Senate and
House of Delegates adopt.
First. That the House of Delegates recede from its
refusal to concur in the Senate amendment to said
House bill, and that both the Senate and House of
Delegates pass said House bill amended by the Senate
amendment, with the following amendments to the
sections herein named of said Senate amendment:
Section 2, line 68, insert after the word "Act" the
following words: "And the provisions of section 155
of this Article, in so far as the same are in conflict with
the preceding provisions of this section, relating to
tunnels, are hereby expressly repealed."
Section 141, line 81, insert after the word "therein"
the following words : "As well as to the above enum-
