Mr. Stearns, from the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably the following order, referred to said
Committee March 30th, viz :
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on
Claims be and he is hereby directed to pay Robert
Bellis the sum of $50, being for ten days per diem for
services to the House of Delegates.
On motion, said order was laid on the table.
Also, favorably, the following order referred to said
Committee March 30th, viz :
Ordered, That George Linthicum and Augustus
Sewell be paid $2.50 per diem for forty (40) days for
services as engineers.
Which was adopted, and said order passed by yeas
and nays, as follows :
AFFIRMATIVE. — Messrs. Speaker, Garner, Strong,
Brashears, Donaldson, Hutchins, Sappington, of Anne
Arundel, Ireland, Lane, Carrico, Maddox, Orrick,
Cole, Elliott, Hamilton, Jr., Monmonier, Schlaffer,
Wooters, Leonard, Green, Sterling, Meredith, Kirk,
Hill, Perrie, Bryan, Wallen, Franklin, McSherry,
Sappington, of Frederick, Bevard, Hayward, Stearns,
Johnson, Thompson, Fuld, Walz, Fitzgerald, Bren-
nan, Fox, Carter, Bowis, of Baltimore city, O'Conor,
Gallagher, Saras, Carr, Cornthwaite, Joyce, Smith, of
Washington, Laird, Griffith, Young, Hosken, Sr.,
Stottlemyer, Sellman, Berret, Ellegood, Moore—58.
NEGATIVE.—Messrs. Miles, Deen—2.
Also, favorably, the following order referred to said
Committee March 30th, viz :
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on.
Claims be and he is hereby directed to pay W. H.
Taylor the sum of one hundred and ten dollars (110),
for twenty-two days attendance on the General
Assembly of Maryland, at the session of 1892, and
two dollars and seventy-five cents for repairs done and
materials furnished for repairing the State House
flags.
Which was, on motion, laid on the table.
Also, favorably, the following order referred to said
Committee on March 30th, viz:
Ordered, That Adam Miller and William Johnson,
be paid $2 per day, for forty days services, for clean-
