with amendments, section 3, of Article 21, Code of
Public General Laws, title "Conveyancing."
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Hill, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Hagerstown and State Line Railroad.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. McSherry, from the Committee on Printing
reported the following order heretofore referred to said
committee, viz :
Ordered, That 700 copies of the list of names of
Senators and Members of the House, with their occu-
pation and address, the chief officers of the two
Houses, and the committees of both, be printed at
once, in the style and size of page and lines of the
journal, (two hundred of said copies to be bound in
pamphlet form), the number of pages to be about
twenty, and the cost thirty-two dollars.
With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the word "Ordered," and insert
the following : ' 'That 500 copies of the list of names
of Senators and Members of the House, with their
occupation and address, the chief officers of the two
Houses, and the committees of both, be printed at
once, in the style and size of page and lines of the
journal, (300 of said copies to be bound in pamphlet
form), the number of pages to be about twenty, and
the cost $32.00."
Mr. Ellegood submitted the following as a substi-
tute for report jf committee :
That 200 copies of the list of names of Senators and
Members of the House, with their postoffice address
and residence in Annapolis, the chief officers of both
Houses and the committees of both Houses, be printed
at once, in the style of page and lines of the journal,
not to exceed in cost $6.00.
Which was rejected by yeas and nays, as follows :
AFFIRMATIVE.—Messrs. Strong, Wilson, Carrico,
Maddox, Elliott, Collins, Wooters, Leonard, Meredith,
