On motion of Mr. Smith, of Dorchester,
The Committee then rose.
The Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Bryan, as Chairman of the Committee of the
Whole House, reported the said bill with proposed
amendment, with recommendation that it be adopted
and bill passed:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In lines 4 and 5, strike out the words "or any com-
pound containing opium in any form."

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and em-
power the Board of Public Works to sell the Eastern
Hay Scales property in the city of Baltimore, and to
purchase a more eligible site in said city for the same.
