The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
January 28th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates ;
Your message in lieu of the message of the Senate
of the 27th inst., relating to the fixing of the sessions
of the General Assembly for the remainder of the
session by joint action, which proposes that the two
Houses, shall during the remainder of the session and
until otherwise ordered by the joint action of the two
Houses hold sittings on every day except Saturdays
and Sundays; that when the Houses adjourn on Fri-
days, they shall stand adjourned until the succeeding
Monday at 8 o'clock, P. M., and that the hour of
convening on other days shall be such as the respec-
tive Houses may designate; provided, that it shall be
in the province of either House to sit on Saturday, if
the condition of its business shall require it, and to
hold as many sittings per day as it may deem neces-
sary and proper, is received, and we concur therein.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Carter, from Committee on Judiciary, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 52 of
Article 77, Code of Public General Laws, title "Crimes
and Punishments," sub-title "Destroying Property
Maliciously" and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
Also favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 233 of
Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Climes and Punishments," sub-title "Rape," and
chapter 410 of the Acts of Assembly of 1890, and to
re enact the same with amendments.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction
