House bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 542, of
the Acts of 1890, entitled an Act to change the name
of the Trust, Deposit, Loan, Security, Guarantee and
Insurance Company of Baltimore county, and to en-
large the powers of said corporation, and also to amend
the original Act of incorporation of said company.
Was read a third time, and failed for want of a con-
stitutional majority, by yeas and nays, as follows :
AFFIRMATIVE.—Messrs. Speaker, Combs, Garner,
Strong, Wilson, Brsshears, Donaldson, Hutchins, Sap-
pington, of Anne Arundel, Ireland, Lane, Carrico,
Maddox, Schlaffer, Wooters, Leonard, Anderson, Ster-
ling, Meredith, Smith, of Dorchester, Miles, Kirk,
Beeks, Grove, of Cecil, Bowie, of Prince George's,
Hill, Wallen, Godwin, Franklin, Hayman, McSherry,
Gaver, Sappington, of Frederick, Fuld, Fitzgerald,
Brennan, Fox, Carter, Bowie, of Baltimore city, Carr,
Cornthwaite, Joyce, Stottlemyer, Laws, Moore—33,
NEGATIVE.—Messrs. Orrick, Hamilton, Jr., Collins,
Bryan, Wilkinson, O'Conor, Gallagher, Sams, Elle-
good, Bittiager—12.
Mr. Joyce moved to reconsider the vote by which
said bill failed for want, of a constitutional majority,
and make that motion the Order of the Day f or March
30th, at 1.30 P. M.
Which motion prevailed.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 124, of
Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws,
volume 2, and re-enact the same with amendments.
