"Obstructing Railroads," sub-title "Railroads Ob-
structing," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
Was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 27, of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Crimes and Punishments," sub-title
"Embezzlement of Property and Writings," to provide
for the punishment of embezzlements.
Was considered.
Mr. Ellegood submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In line 16, after the word "account," insert the
words "for and pay over."
In lines 17, 18 and 19, strike out the words "for
neglecting or refusing to so account to such owner
or owners for his or their share of such cargo or pro-
ceeds thereof, the" and insert the words "and if the
said master shall neglect or refuse to account for or
pay over to such owner or owners his or their share
of such cargo or proceeds thereof, and shall appro-
priate the same to his own use, the said."
Which was considered, and on motion, further con-
sideration of proposed amendment, together with bill
postponed and made the order of the day for Tues-
day, February 2nd, at 1 P. M.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 116, of
Article 33, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Elections, Senators, Representatives," sub-title
"United States Senators,"
Was read a second time,
Mr. Miles moved that the further consideration of
said bill be indefinitely postponed.
Mr. Carter moved as a substitute for Mr. Mile's
motion, the following :
That further consideration be postponed, and bill
made the order of the day for to morrow, January
28th, at 1 P. M.
Which motion prevailed.
