Gentlemen of the Senate:
We respectfully request the return to this House,
by your Honorable Body, of House Bill No. 207, en-
titled "An Act for the removal of the body of General
Smallwood to some suitable place in Baltimore city."

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.
Mr, Grove, of Frederick, from a Select Committee,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, entitled ''Frederick County," sub-title
"County Commissioners."
Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to require the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroa i Company to place a watchman at
the crossing of its railroad and the Baltimore and
Fredericktown Turnpike Road, at a point about one
and one-half miles west of Mt. Airy, Frederick county,
Maryland, on said railroad.
Which was lead a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
House bill entitled an Act to empower the County
Commissioners of Charles county to levy a sum of
money for the building of a school house for white
children in Harris' Section, Fifth Election District of
Charles county.
Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays, with proposed amendment:"
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In line 1 of title, after word "county," add words
"in their discretion."
