CHAPTER 615.


AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section


twenty of article thirty -three of the Code of Public General


Laws of Maryland, title "Elections," sub-title "Regis-


tration. "


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland. That sections twenty of article thirty -three (33),
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title

Repealed
and
re-enacted

" Elections," sub-title "Registration," be and the same is


hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to


read as follows :


20. Said officers of registration iu all portions of the


State, other than in the city of Baltimore, shall within

make, complete and publish two alphabetical lists, one of


which alphabetical lists shall comprise the names of those


persons whom said officers have sfncken from the duplicate


registries of voters delivered to said respective officers by


said respective clerks of courts and the other one of which


alphabetical lists shall comprise the names and residences


of the persons whom said respective officers of registration


have newly registered as qualified voters in their respective


election districts or election precincts at their said sitting,


and also the names of those persons whom the proper judges


or judge acting under the authority conferred by this


article, have or has ordered to be registered in said election


district or election precinct ; the said respective officers of


registration shall cause said respective lists to be published


by hand bills posted in such public places as they may


respectively select in their respective election districts or


election precincts, in not less than twenty of such places.


In the city of Baltimore the officers of registration shall


within the period of three days after their respective sittings,


make and complete two similar alphabetical lists, and


deliver the same to the board of supervisors of elections in


said city, and the said board of supervisors shall provide


for the printing and publication of said lists.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take


effect from the date of its passage.

Effective.
