CHAPTER 593.


AN ACT to repeal sections one, two, three, four, five, six,


seven and eight of the Code of Public General Laws of the


State of Maryland, article thirty -four, entitled "Estrays,


vessels adrift, drift logs," sub-title "Estrays," and 8 A


thereof, as enacted by chapter two hundred and fifty-two,


of the acts of Assembly of eighteen hundred and. ninety,


entitled an act to add additional sections to article thirty-


four, of the Code of Public General Laws, title " Estrays,


vessels adrift, drift logs," sub-title ''Estrays," to be


numbered eight A, and to re-enact the same with


amendments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That sections one, two, three, four, five, six,

1. That the owners or occupant of any enclosure who may

the said enclosed premises, he shall immediately, or within


a reasonable time thereafter cause a notice to be inserted in


some newspaper published in the county where such estrays


is taken containing a description of the same, and the


location of the enclosure upon which such estray was taken,


and the name of the owner or occupant thereof, and cause


written or printed copies of such notice to be set up in not


less than three public places in the neighborhood.


2. That if there be no newspaper published in the county


where such estray shall have been taken up, or if the value

required by section one, and that the valuation of the estray


be ascertained by appraisment and in good faith by the
