CHAPTER 562.


AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners of Wor-


cester and Wicomico Counties to have the Pocomoke River


surveyed, and to levy a sum of money to defray the


expenses thereofe,


WHEREAS, the upper part of the channel of the Poco-


moke River has become obstructed by logs, trees and other


obstructions whereby the natural flow of the water is

advisable to remove such obstructions, therefor


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Worcester

Survey of
Pocomoke

and Wicomico Counties, be and they are hereby authorized

and empowered to employ a competent surveyor to survey


and report on the condition of the channel of the upper


part of the Pocomoke River above the town of Snow Hill to


the Delaware line, as to the feasibility and expense of


cleaning out the channel thereof, and for the expense of


such survey, the county commissioners of each county are


hereby authorized and empowered to levy the sum of one


hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary to


defray the expenses of such survey.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
