payment of the same by mortgage or otherwise, said bonds


not to exceed the sum of five hundred thousand dollars,


and also that it shall and may be lawful for the said com-


pany to issue certificates of stock and apply the same, if


they shall find it expedient to do so, in payment of the


expenses of the construction and equipment of said works


or other liabilities of said company.


SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That all acts or parts

CHAPTER 472.


AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section three of article three


of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title


"Baltimore County," sub-title "Birds and Game."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That section three of article three of the Code of

Repealed

Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County,"

and re-
enacted

sub-title "Birds and Game," be, and the same is hereby


repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :


3. Any person violating either of the two preceding sec-


tions, shall, on conviction thereof, be fined a sum uot less


than two dollars and not more than ten dollars for each

to the said clerk the sum of five dollars ; authorizing the


holder thereof to catch any birds, collect and take their


nests and eggs, for scientific purposes only, without being


subject to the penalties imposed by this section ; but before


said clerk shall issue said permit he shall require the appli-


cant to produce before him satisfactory, written testimony,


from at least two scientific men certifying to the good char-


acter of the applicant, and that he is a proper person to be


entrusted with such privilege, and he shall also demand
