SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That all acts or parts

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section three of article three
|
|
|
|
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
|
|
|
|
"Baltimore County," sub-title "Birds and Game."
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That section three of article three of the Code of
|
Repealed
|
|
|
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore County,"
|
and re-
enacted
|
|
|
sub-title "Birds and Game," be, and the same is hereby
|
|
|
|
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
3. Any person violating either of the two preceding sec-
|
|
|
|
tions, shall, on conviction thereof, be fined a sum uot less
|
|
|
|
than two dollars and not more than ten dollars for each
|

offence, with the costs of prosecution ; and all prosecutions
|
game in
Baltimore
|
|
|
shall be in the name of the State, before a justice of the
|
County.
|
|
|
peace of the election district in which such violation may
|
|
|
|
occur ; and all such fines, when collected, one-half shall be
|
|
|
|
paid to the informer and the other half to the treasurer of
|
|
|
|
the county, to be applied to the support of the public schools
|
|
|
|
of the county ; provided that any one applying to the clerk
|
|
|
|
of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, may obtain a
|
|
|
|
permit, good for one year from the date of issue, by paying
|
|
|
|
to the said clerk the sum of five dollars ; authorizing the
|
|
|
|
holder thereof to catch any birds, collect and take their
|
|
|
|
nests and eggs, for scientific purposes only, without being
|
|
|
|
subject to the penalties imposed by this section ; but before
|
|
|
|
said clerk shall issue said permit he shall require the appli-
|
|
|
|
cant to produce before him satisfactory, written testimony,
|
|
|
|
from at least two scientific men certifying to the good char-
|
|
|
|
acter of the applicant, and that he is a proper person to be
|
|
|
|
entrusted with such privilege, and he shall also demand
|
|
|
|
