SEC. 8. Sales of liquors in violation of the provisions of

this law, or the general liquor license law, made by the

agent.

by the licensee, and the fines and penalties shall be adjudged


against said licensee ; and all costs of prosecution shall be


adjudged against said licensee ; and any person so licensed


who shall permit any card playing, throwing of dice, or any


other gambling device, on said premises, shall be deemed


guilty of a violation of the provisions of the Public General


Laws of this State, and on conviction, punished as therein


provided.


SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That all acts or part of acts in-

CHAPTER 428.


AN ACT to incorporate the F. C. & H. S. Todd Company.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland That Frank C. Todd, Harry S. Todd, William


B. Tilghman, William E. Shepard and Lemuel M. Price


all residents of Wicomico County and State of Maryland


and their associates successors and assigns be and they are


hereby created and made a body corporate under and by


the name and style of the F. C. & H. S. Todd Co., and by

defend in any court of law or equity, to make and use a


common seal and alter the same at pleasure, to receive and


make deeds and contracts, to acquire by purchase or in any


manner take, receive, hold, use, employ, manage mortgage,


dispose of or in any mariner, not inconsistent with law, deal


with any property, real personal or mixed, and situate in or


out of this State, which may be necessary or proper to


enable said corporate to carry on its operations or fulfill the


purposes named in this act, and generally to do every other


act or thing not inconsistent with law, which may be neces-


sary or proper to promote the objects, designs and purposes,


which are hereby declared to be for the purpose of buying


selling or trading of goods, wares and merchandise of every


description in large or small quantities in the State of


Maryland and elsewhere, and the chief office of which shall


be in Salisbury Wicomico County Maryland.
